About Genesis Homes

Genesis Homes is a housing development company with extensive experience in the Irish market. It was founded in 2012, by Barry O’Connor with the primary goal of developing quality residential housing.
The team has over 100 years of experience in house building in Ireland and has built over 25,000 homes throughout their respective careers. Genesis Homes was formed to leverage this experience in a market that is severely undersupplied with product.
There is a full development team in place with the sole aim of identifying sites with the greatest potential in strategic locations across our target areas. In some cases, we develop and build these sites ourselves, or with joint venture partners. We aim for high standards throughout all stages of our developments.
We pride ourselves on our development management expertise and importantly on the build quality of our end product.
This is our promise to those we build for.

Stoneybatter

Genesis Homes identified a site with a lapsed planning permission for 40 apartments, structured a joint venture agreement with a third-party investor and acquired the site. GH established that the best use value of the site was for purpose-built student accommodation and proceeded to successfully achieve planning for a 96-unit student development. Given the demand for such sites at the time, GH and their joint venture partner, disposed of the site having added significant value from acquisition to disposal.
