Barry O’Connor
Managing Director

Barry O’Connor was the Managing Director of McInerney Holdings PLC until 2010 and served as it’s Chief Executive. Barry qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand before joining ICC Bank. He joined McInerney in 1988 and was its Executive Director from 1992. He has been responsible for the construction of over 25,000 houses both in Ireland and the UK.

Alan McClearn
Contracts Manager

Alan McClearn – Alan joined Genesis Homes as Contracts Manager in 2014. A graduate of GMIT with a degree in Construction and Building Management, Alan has strong residential and commercial experience. He worked with McInerney Homes & Contracting from 1998 – 2011. Alan is an experienced foreman, who has completed many large scale residential developments and constructed approximately 1000 units. Developments completed include Doughiska, Galway, Dromaconn in Athlone, Strandhill & Caltragh in Sligo.

Alex Walsh
Business Development Manager

Alex Walsh – Alex has over 10 years experience in real estate..Alex joined Genesis Homes in 2018 to grow the capital stack and project pipeline. He was an investment analyst and portfolio manager in the largest alternative real estate finance company in Ireland. He managed a rolling book of c.€120m+ and originated c.€35m of residential development debt.
Alex’s previous roles included management of a debt portfolio of c.€530m against real estate value of c€2.1bn, located in Ireland and Europe.
Alex is a Chartered Surveyor having completed his training with Deloitte Real Estate London. He has a degree in Real Estate from Limerick Institute of Technology and an MA in Business from the University of Limerick.

Miriam Nelson
Personal Assistant

Miriam Nelson – Miriam worked for McInerney Homes for twenty years having joined in 1998. Promoted to the personal assistant to CEO. Joined Genesis Homes in 2012.
In addition to being to P.A she has a co-ordinating role with agents in marketing and sales.
